Why do a Sugar Detox?
1. The food you eat powers your body.
The food choices you make determine if you are feeling like driving a Ferrari, or that old station wagon your grand parents used to drive when you were young. Your food choices have the power to change how you feel and you have an opportunity to change how you feel with each meal of the day.
Change your food habits, change how you feel. Simple.
2. This program is NOT a diet.
Diet’s have such a limiting mindset. Many people that go on a diet and ask these 2 common questions, How long is this plan for? And What am I not allowed to eat?
Do you see the problem with those 2 questions?
The mindset going in is limited. I agree, anyone can put their head down for 2 weeks and plow though a program, that is great! But when it’s over you didn’t learn anything, you just deprived yourself of the things you wanted and when you finish you usually go back to the same eating habits that got you in trouble in the first place. Result, Failure! Again.
Focusing on what you cannot have will only show you limited possibilities. Remember, the universe shows your opportunities to pursue the things you think about most.
3. What are you thinking about?
I want to show you the wonderful opportunities that choosing great foods can present you. The only way I can do that is show you how great you can feel when you choose great foods and have you along for the process of cooking, preparing and experiencing the process. Breaking your old habits, shaping new possibilities, and showing you that YOU can feel better by changing what you EAT.
By the end of the 14 days you will have learned skills and gained confidence to take into your life and feel better for much longer than just the few short days of this program. Which will result in you not needing a Diet. You will have re shaped the meaning of that word. Now the word “DIET” will mean “the summary of what foods I eat in the run of a day”, rather than the limiting mindset definition “the list of foods I to have to stay away from to satisfy my goal of X, for X number of days”
Doesn’t the first definition feel much better?
4. Clean up your GUT
Your GUT is one of the most important foundation systems your body has. You have over 1 Trillion cells in your GUT. They are made of Microbes: Bacteria, fungus, viruses, yeasts. Collectively they are termed your Microbiome. Your Microbiome influences your behavior, mood, cravings, skin, energy, immune system, and a TON of particularly important functions to help you function optimally.
Excess sugar is a burden on this system. The sugar consumption messes around with your Microbiome, it promotes imbalances in the yeast, bacteria and changes the conditions in your GUT. This change you may be experiencing in terms of symptoms. Bloated, gassy, pain, food sensitivities, skin conditions, lowered immunity, impaired mood, energy low’s are just some of the symptoms you body may be giving you which are telling you there is something wrong with your GUT.
When we strip away the sugar, we change the food we feed these bugs, and give our bodies the beneficial wholesome nutritious foods we need to start the process of rebalancing inside our GUT.
This is the true path to changing how you feel. Change your GUT, Change how you feel.
