10 Wellness Christmas Gift Ideas

Welcome to my list of items as Ideas for Gifts for the Wellness Enthusiast in your life.  These items are things I myself use EVERYDAY and can’t imagine not having.

  1.  Blue Light Blocking Glasses-  I start off with one of the easiest ways you can help control how you feel, control the light in your environment.  Blue light has made it’s way into our lives WAY too much these days.  Blue light tells you to wake up! So imagine telling yourself to wake up when you are supposed to be calming down to get to sleep.   2. JOOVV Light  Red light therapy is amazing for so many aspects of your wellbeing.  The red light spectrum can help your body make energy, help speed up healing, and supercharge the powerhouse of your cells called your Mitochondria.  I use the Joovv light for my red light therapy (https://joovv.com/) sign up for a newsletter and save on your order.  Red light Therapy is one of the things I love to use in my day.  Whether it’s time change, injuries, mood enhancement, wound care or just general I want a pick me up, I use my Joovv Device.  I have this one.   4. Sound Machine  This is something I can’t Sleep Without. Sound machines create a noise that helps keep you from getting distracted while you are trying to fall asleep.  It also helps to aid in your ability to fall asleep, as it helps to give an audible cue to help tell your body to wind down and get to sleep.  We have 2 different types in our house, one is a portable version, the other is a  Stand alone Unit that we leave plugged into our hallway. Both these machines have various tones and different types of white noise to choose from.  Either one is a great option.  I especially like the portable sound machine for when we travel.  It’s easy to throw in a bag, and masks most of the noise you would hear while sleeping in a hotel.

  5. Nebulizer  This has become an important part of our wellness routine.  Nebulizing saline and a small bit of hydrogen peroxide ( 3% Food Grade Hydrogen Peroxide) is a wonderful way to get the crap out of your sinus.  We use our nebulizer at least 3 days per week, and when feeling something brewing in the sinus ( congestion or starting to get excess mucus production we use it 3 times per day.  It is amazing how much comes out of your sinus when you are sick.  As I write this Blog post I am just getting over a cold, and over the weekend I have been using my Nebulizer 3 times per day and it was AMAZING how much mucus was cleared from my sinus.  Grab yours Here

Bulletproof Diet Book  What should I eat to feel well is a common question I get in my practice.  Without a doubt what you should eat to feel well is a very complicated, nuanced answer.  This is  One of the reasons I love the Bullet Proof Diet Book it simplifies the things you should eat, and helps Identify some of the things you should not eat.  It is also jam packed with research and citations.  If you want a simple way to start feeling better, this book may help you a lot.

Red Light Bulbs  This is another easy way to change the light in your environment and help change how you feel.  Many of us get in bed at night, flip on the lights and unfortunately those lights are keeping you awake.  The blue light spectrum in many high efficient light bulbs impacts the amount of Melatonin you body creates, remember the sleep cycle is started when your body perceives that it is dark, if there is blue light, it’s missing that signal.   I love my Red Light Bulbs. I have them in my bed side lamp so I can read at night before bed and not disturb my sleep cycle.  Give this simple change a try and see if it helps how you sleep.
